About Women Peace Force (WPF)

Women Peace Force (WPF) is multi-stakeholder Collaborative Network of Women’s and Feminist organizations, youth-led organizations and other civil society actors which was established in 2018 (registered in 2020) with a mandate of promoting gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls. WPF focuses and dedicated to advancing women’s leadership and participation in decision-making, ending violence against women, achieving economic empowerment, and ensuring women’s full involvement in peace and security processes of their own. Other areas focus on addressing gender stereotypes, improving access to justice, and integrating a gender perspective into policies and programs like those related to health and education for all women and girls.

A world where all women and girls exercise and enjoy equal rights and equally participate in decision-making that affect their lives.

The General Assembly

Women Peace Force (WPF) is governed by the General Assembly (GA) – the highest policy making organ the organization which comprises of representatives from feminist’s, women-led and women’s rights organizations as well as individual women activists, male champions of gender equality and women empowerment.

 Composition: The general assembly comprises of 31 members in Dec 2025 (22 from 22-member organizations, 4 male champions and 5 women activists.

Meeting of the General Assembly: The Governing body (General Assembly sits once in a year to review, amend and approve the management reports including budgets, policies, amendments and the strategic partnerships.

WPF has been grounded on the principles of Generation Equality Action Coalitions – the world’s roadmap for gender equality and acceleration of progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the full realization of the Beijing Platform for Action. WPF supports and is the signatory to the these innovative, multi-stakeholder partnerships which focus on six critical areas for gender equality to achieve concrete change for women and girls worldwide including the Generation Equality Action Coalitions on:
