Women Peace Force focuses primarily on promoting gender equality and empowerment of women and Girls in all areas of its operations.  Our thematic programmes are geared toward the following five (5) Impact Areas:

Improved Economic outcome for the empowerment for women and girls

WPF supports economic empowerment initiatives for women and girls aimed at enabling them to participate equally in markets, have control over their financial resources, and make decisions about their lives and economic futures. It facilitates access to productive resources, decent work, financial services, and education, while also addressing systemic barriers like gender discrimination, violence, and harmful social norms. This empowerment leads to stronger economies, improved societal well-being, and catalyzing progress toward sustainable development goals –  especially the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5: “Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

  • Increasing women’s representation in leadership positions at all levels in private and public life. 
  • Ensuring women have equal opportunities in recruitment and career progression. 
  • Integrating a gender dimension into research and teaching content. 
  • Eliminating all forms of violence against women and girls in both public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual exploitation as well as technology facilitated violence against women and girls. 
  • Ending harmful practices like child, early, and forced marriage and female genital mutilation. 
  • Tackling new forms of violence, such as technology-facilitated violence. 
  • Supporting women’s full and effective participation in conflict prevention, resolution, and peacebuilding efforts.
  • Ensuring a gender perspective is mainstreamed in peace and stability initiatives. 
    • Ensuring universal access to sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights.
